Boy Scouts

The Post proudly sponsors Boy Scout Troop 1919. We provide special presentations for  Scouts receiving the Eagle rank.  We encourage our leaders to be fully trained and provide scholarships for troop leaders to take the BSA Woodbadge Training program.  Our troop regularly attends summer camp, has monthly campouts and supports the Post in semi-annual street clean up.

Troop History

   Troop 1919 is a Boy Scouts of America Troop located in Dale City, Virginia and chartered by the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 1503. The troop was initially formed in 1986.
   The Troop has regular meetings every Wednesday at 7:30 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at the VFW Post on Minnieville Road in Dale City. ( The service patrol for the month reports by 7:00 P.M. and 7:15 P.M.)
   The Scouts at the August Planning Meeting have planned at least one Troop outing per month. With several months having multiple activities such as service projects, fund raising, caroling, etc.
