WHO CAN JOIN? Ladies Auxiliary VFW Members are...

• Wives
• Widows
• Mothers
• Foster and stepmothers (who have performed the duties of parent)
• Grandmothers
• Daughters
• Granddaughters
• Foster and stepdaughters (who attained that status prior to the age of sixteen and for whom the duties of parent were performed)
• Sisters, half sisters, foster and stepsisters (who attained that status prior to age sixteen)
• ...of persons who were or are eligible for membership in the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. Members must be citizens of the United States and at least16 years old.

Women who are eligible for membership in the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States are also eligible for dual membership in the Ladies Auxiliary

How to join?

How can you join the VFW Auxiliary? Applicants must fill out an application form, available in the Post Canteen, or from any of the Auxiliary Officers, or download the attached application.

An application form must be accompanied with an admission fee and the required membership dues. Checks must be made out to the Ladies Auxiliary Treasurer, Post 1503.

• Applicants can apply for annual or life membership.
• Applications are presented at an Auxiliary meeting on recommendation of a member in good standing.
• Each application is referred to a committee of three, who make a careful investigation of the facts in the application.
• After investigation, a vote is made on the application by Auxiliary Members
• The Applicant is notified if her application has been accepted or rejected. If accepted, she will be invited to attend the next meeting. If rejected, all fees and dues are returned, and she may not re-apply for one year.
